Since his coronation at Westminster Abbey in May 2023, King Charles III has kept up a busy schedule of official engagements alongside Queen Camilla. Their year follows a calendar shaped by long-standing traditions, charity work and visits at home and abroad.

Spring and summer traditions

Every June, Trooping the Colour marks the monarch's official birthday with a military parade in London and the famous balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace. Shortly afterwards comes Royal Ascot, where the royal procession in horse-drawn carriages draws crowds of racegoers.
