Guilty plea in Brooklyn

On April 28 Jones, 49, admitted in Brooklyn federal court that he committed two felony counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He became the first of more than 30 people arrested in the scheme to plead guilty; two other charges against him were dropped.

He cites insider information

Jones told the court he used "insider information" he obtained through relationships from his playing days. He apologized to the court, his family, peers and the NBA as part of his statement.
