A Home Full of Wild Memories

The grounds were famous for exotic animals, including peacocks and a chimpanzee named Bubbles; California officials removed a six-month-old giraffe in 1986. After Michael's death in 2009, his children lived at Hayvenhurst with grandmother Katherine and made home movies with cousins like Jaafar. The estate was used for the 2026 biopic Michael, where Jaafar rehearsed and even slept on the floor to connect with the space. The property remains in Jackson ownership but is no longer the family's main residence.
