In an April 26 interview with '60 Minutes,' Trump described the law enforcement team that entered the ballroom as physically strong and good-looking, saying their presence made him feel very safe and calling the operation impressive. He admitted he watched the doorway for a moment before leaving the stage.

Chaos at the WHCD

Soon after the event began, shots were fired outside the hotel ballroom. Authorities say a suspected gunman, identified as Cole Allen, opened fire on the security team before being tackled and taken into custody. Allen now faces federal charges, including attempted assassination of the president.
