Flag Fumble in the Capital

On April 24 a stretch of the capital briefly displayed Australian flags next to the Stars and Stripes. ABC reporter James Longman shared footage showing the banners in place for about two hours before workers replaced them with the Union Jack. A Department of Transportation official told the Washington Examiner the flags were installed in a single area and were quickly removed once the error was noticed.
