Born Bambina Aennchen Linnemeier, Linn started dance lessons at six and became a protege of choreographer Agnes de Mille, who encouraged her casting in Oklahoma!. She later appeared in the film adaptation, performing the Dream Laurey sequence that closes Act One, and recalled how the stage role launched her professional life.
