Life after the announcement

The couple revealed the birth on April 18 with a black-and-white photo of Theroux cradling the sleeping baby; the child’s name has not been shared. Two days later they made a red-carpet appearance in New York — Theroux in a navy suit and Bloom in a Moschino black halter gown — and he later visited Today with their dog, Kuma, marveling at quiet, tender days and occasional nighttime crying as they settle into family life. Bloom is handling much of the feeding, which Theroux praised as a monumental effort.
